Reducing single-used plastics and supporting health projects in remote Australia, all while brushing your teeth? Check and check. Big Little Brush, now part of Red Dust, is a social enterprise using the profits from their bamboo toothbrushes for a positive social and environmental impact. 

Over 30 million plastic toothbrushes are thrown away every year in Australia. When you swap those for a fully compostable Big Little Brush bamboo toothbrush, your money is helping to fund First Nations health and wellbeing programs around Australia.

The brief

Big Little Brush wanted to breathe fresh air into their content marketing and creative assets, and help Aussies see how small everyday acts, like brushing our teeth, can either contribute to or help fight plastic pollution. They needed a high-impact strategy that was straightforward for the team to implement, grow awareness and brand recognition, and boost conversions to help their mission of making a positive impact.

The solution

We knew a holistic approach was the way to go to build a full marketing and content strategy to help build the link between individual actions and collective impact. We developed a new brand expression, and brought it to life by creating social media templates, along with a messaging matrix for captions, that were simple for the team to implement. Our design and copy templates helped Big Little Brush share their stories on impact, the team behind the brand, and snappy social commentary on sustainability-related news.

We amplified the content strategy with a supporting performance marketing strategy and Google Ad grant account configuration, helping Big Little Brush grow their brand.
