The client
Ethical Clothing Australia (ECA) is on a mission to protect the rights of Australian garment workers. By collaborating with local textile, clothing, and footwear businesses, ECA ensures fair treatment across the entire supply chain, from design to dispatch. Their goal is to promote transparency and fairness in the fashion industry, advocating for better working conditions and fair wages.
The brief
ECA wanted to reach a broader, but highly relevant, audience. The goal was clear: develop a comprehensive SEO strategy that would boost their online visibility and help them connect with more stakeholders. We were tasked with creating a tailored content strategy to put them in front of the right people. This meant diving deep into keyword research, competitor audits, site audits, and on-page and technical SEO optimisations to get their site ranking higher.
The solution
We kicked things off with a solid research phase. By conducting extensive keyword research and competitor audits, we pinpointed high-impact core and long-tail search terms that would give ECA the best shot at ranking well. This laid the foundation for a robust content strategy built for long-term success.
From there, we tackled a thorough site audit to identify any technical and on-page SEO issues that could be holding them back. We focused on improving site structure, page load speed, and user experience, all while optimising XML sitemaps and schema setup.
We also created targeted content aimed at engaging ECA’s audience — content that was relevant, informative, and aligned with their mission. To further boost visibility, we made sure to optimise their Google Search Console and Google My Business profiles, alongside implementing strategic link-building efforts to increase off-page SEO.
The result
Our comprehensive SEO strategy set them up for long-term SEO success. ECA now ranks first for many key industry keywords, like ‘ethical clothing manufacturers’ and ‘sustainable clothing australia’.

Our tailored SEO strategy helped Ethical Clothing Australia extend its online reach, connecting with more stakeholders and supporting their mission to promote fair treatment of garment workers across the industry.
